We Pride Ourselves On Our Professional and Friendly Service

Bodywise is a family run business with Melanie and Alannah Guy.

Melanie -

I graduated from the McTimoney College and started my chiropractic career in 2002.

I have since continued my professional development in cranio sacral, Emmett Therapies, Kinesiology Taping and soft tissue work. I also trained as a yoga teacher in 2019/20 and most recently yin yoga in 2022.

I have always had a keen interest in animals, mainly horses and dogs. I enjoy improving my own health and fitness including working at the gym, walking and my own yoga practice with a keen interest in nutrition.

Alannah -

I am a Sports Rehabilitation Specialist and a Yoga Teacher.

My undergraduate degree was in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, during this time I completed my Personal Training Qualifications. Then I went on to do a Masters Degree in Sports Rehabilitation, specialising in injuries. I treat a range of different injuries and conditions at the clinic, including post operative, acute and chronic issues and degenerative conditions.

In 2020, I qualified as a yoga teacher  And I have recently completed my yin yoga qualification.

As I am going into my third year of teaching, currently I have three group yoga classes at BodyWise. I also teach 1:1 or 1:2 sessions, all of which I absolutely adore!

I am a firm believer in practice what you preach, so I do try to eat healthy, regularly go to the gym and conduct my own yoga practice. I really enjoy learning and keeping up with new research. Right now, I am trying to decide what I want to study this year to develop my professional practice  Work aside - I really love to bake (all the bad things ) and this year I want to take up hiking!
